Patch is a male 9 month old Pit Bull puppy, who the owners say is a pure Pit. He weighs around 50 pounds and won't get any bigger. He is a local owner surrender due to him not being able to handle 3 little dogs. It's not his fault because the little dogs would constantly nip at him and be mean to him as a young puppy and he couldn't take it anymore. Patch loves other dogs and enjoys being with them. A dog his size or bigger would be great for him! He LOVES children and absolutely adores them. Due to his size we do not recommend him in a home with children under the age of 5 just for fear that he may possibly knock one down. Otherwise we would love for him to be in a home with active kids who will play fetch with him. He lived in a home with a cat, but didn't really interact with her. We think that he would be fine in a home with a kitty that is used to dogs. Patch is potty trained and crate trained. He knows some basic commands such as sit and down. He is very loving, friendly, and happy! He is up to date on his shots, been on a monthly heart worm preventative medication, and neutered. If you are interested in meeting him please call or text us at 716-208-7747. Our email address is pawsandclawsanimalshelter@yahoo.com. Ralphie is a 2 year old male who was found as a stray. The people who found him took him in, took him to the vet where he was given a full physical, shots, tested for FIV/FeLk (both negative), treated for worms and neutered. He is very happy and healthy weighing in at 12 pounds. He is litter box trained and has had no litter box issues. While trying to incorporate Ralphie into their household with cats/dog, he showed immediate aggression toward the other animals. Since no one knows his past, we are unsure why he has the aggression. He is terribly sweet with people, loves to play, is very gentle and loving. Ralphie often falls asleep on their lap. He is comfortable being picked up and held. A little shy of visitors, but he warms up with a little time. He can take medicine (when needed) easily and you can trim his nails with no problem and he loves to be brushed. Unless someone is willing to get to the bottom of his animal aggression, he will need to be be an "only child." He would be perfect for someone who can only have one animal. If interested in Ralphie please call/text 716-308-0101 or email bpckitties@hotmail.com. To speed up the process fill out an adoption application.

Audrey is a sweet, affectionate, fun-loving young Blue Pittie. We estimate that she is between 10 months to 1 year old. She came to us from a kill shelter in Ohio after she was hit by a car and left to die in a ditch. She had two fractured hips and multiple bumps and bruises from the accident. Through it all she has remained a trusting, loving puppy. You can read more about her accident through our website at http://www.bpcanimalrescue.com/audrey.php. We are still trying to raise money towards her Vet care, so please help out if you can. She has not needed surgery on her hips as the veterinarian feels they are healing very well on their own. However, he stated that if the new owner feels as if Audrey’s quality of life would improve with surgery they have that option. Her foster family has seen a great improvement in her range of motion and ability to run, walk and play. They report that she loves to play like any other dog. We know that Audrey is great with older children and adults. We are not sure how she is with younger children as she has only been exposed to children over the age of 7. So at this time we believe she should be placed in a home that either has older children or no children at all. Her foster family has two children ages 9 and 12 years old, 2 other dogs (a 7 year old Lab and a 10 month old Lab mix), a guinea pig and 2 cats. She gets along very well with the dogs and does not pay much attention to the cats or the guinea pig! Audrey is crate trained and has spent a large amount of time in the crate on “bed rest”. Audrey is slightly food aggressive (we believe this is due to her traumatic past). She was extremely thin when she arrived. This is being worked on with success. She will take a treat very gently out of her foster owner’s hands. The slight food aggression is shown when she thinks you are going to take her full dish of food away, because of this she needs to be on a feeding schedule rather than a “free” feed schedule. She has never gone after anyone or attempted to bite anyone. She is house broken and loves to be outside...especially if it is sunny out! She is an extremely lovable dog who loves to give kisses. Everyone who has met her has fallen in love with her and her foster family will be sad to see her go. She is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, and spayed. All of her Vet records from her X-rays as well as her treatment will be supplied to her new adopter. If you are interested in meeting her please call or text us at 716-208-7747.
