Toby is a Pure Breed Red male Dachshund. He is around 7 years old and is a great boy! He LOVES the water and will literally sit in a kiddie pool or tub for hours. He will splash around and try to eat/catch the water. If you have an inground pool you will need to keep a close eye on him because he will jump in. Toby is an owner surrender because he was having issues with his back legs and the owner was told that he would need surgery on his back. Well we looked into and and thought that we were going to have to do that. Luckily after being put on a diet, Toby starting walking fine. He now runs, jumps, and plays like a champ! He has to be kept on a low calorie diet because if not his legs could become temporarily paralyzed again. Toby is a very sweet, affectionate, and loving boy who is fine with other dogs and with cats. He is great with children and loves to play with them. We have all of his vet records and can assure you that he is healthy. He is up to date on his shots, neutered, dewormed, and had a health check recently where he was given some pain meds. Toby has come a long way and would love to be in a forever home!
