Hope is a female brownish black 1 year old Lab/Pit mix dog. She was originally found as a 5 week old puppy sitting in a shopping cart abandoned at Tops in the beginning of winter. The woman that found her took her in and cared for her until she could no longer keep her. In the matter of a month the woman lost her husband, home, and now her two dogs. When the Vet looked at Hope's rear leg they said that she was born with a missing limb. She can get around great on 3 legs! She wobbles and wiggles, which is absolutely adorable and she can run, go for walks, and go up and down stairs. She is great with children of all ages and has lots of experience with them. She knows some basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, and come. She is sweet with other dogs but may be a little nervous upon first meeting them. We have not seen her around cats, but think that she would probably be fine with them. Hope is 100 percent potty trained and crate trained. This is Corrigan and Tucker who are 1 year old female sisters. These amazing girls have been with our rescue for a year...which is not fair to them. They are so cute, playful, love snuggling, and are great with other cats, dogs and kids! Corrigan is a total attention hog! She is a total snuggler! Tucker likes to be snuggled too, but she is much more playful!! They were adopted together, but the new owner split them up because she couldn't afford them. In turn they were both very depressed. Zara is a 3 year old female Pit Bull/Bull Terrier mix dog. If you see her in person, she looks similar to the "Spuds Mckenzie" dog. She is short and weighs around 45 pounds. She came to us from a kill shelter in Ohio. They originally thought that she was pregnant but after our Vet examined her, they indicated that she is not and that she was probably getting over having a litter of puppies. Zara is an extremely loving dog who happily greets everyone that she meets. It doesn't matter if your a man, woman, or child she loves you and wants to go home with you! Zara has ZERO aggression and thinks that she is a lap dog. She loves to snuggle next to you and put her head in your lap. She will also give you a nudge asking you to continue petting her. We had her around both bigger and smaller dogs without any aggression issues. You can take food from her and she doesn't mind. Zara is a love bug who is playful and energetic. We do not know if she likes cats or not, but don't see that being a problem because we can always test her and see how she reacts to one. Romeo is a pure breed 7 pound seven year old adult male Pomeranian. He is a local owner surrender with his buddy Dizzy who is also up for adoption. We would love for them to get adopted together but if they can't we will seperate them. Romeo is a little shy but very sweet and loving. He is good with children of all ages and enjoys playing with them and being held like a baby. He has beautiful fluffy fur that will need to be brushed and groomed. He loves being held and is a true lap dog. He is great with other dogs and does not have any issues with them. Romeo is potty trained but will mark if he is in a household with dogs other than his friend Dizzy. That is easily controlled with a belly band that can be purchased at any pet store. If he is the only dog in the house then he does not mark. He is crate trained but was always allowed to have free roam because he is soo good in the house. He is also used to sleeping in his owners bed. He is up to date on his shots, dewormed, given a Bordatella vaccination, flea treated, and neutered. Teddy is a male 1 year old Border Collie/Lab mix dog. He came to us from a kill shelter in Tennessee. He is a very friendly and happy boy who gets along great with all dogs, both big and small. He is very food motivated and is willing to learn lots of commands if given the time. He knows how to sit now, but that's about it. He hasn't shown any signs of aggression since we have had him. He is good with children but we haven't seen him with children under 5 years old. Teddy has a good amount of energy and loves to run. He is good off leash and on leash. He is both potty trained and crate trained. He likes to chase cats so we do not recommend him in a home with them.
