Gordon is a male 11 month old Rat Terrier mix puppy. He weighs between 11-12 pounds. He is very sweet and loving but is a little fearful. For this reason we do not recommend him with children under the age of 9 who are going to frighten him. He is fine when you pick him up but would prefer to run around and play. Echo is a female 5 week old Papillon mix puppy. She will be up for adoption on Thursday, October 7th when she is 6 weeks old. We are accepting applications and deposits now. Echo is a sweet little girl. She will follow you around the house, sit on your lap, and give you lots of kisses. She really enjoys other dogs and is used to bigger dogs also. This is Sugar a lab/pit mix. She is an adult who is apx. 3-4 years old but we are unsure of her exact age. Sugar is a very sweet and calm dog. She should be the only dog in the household because she has been showing some signs of jealousy towards them. She is excellent around kids and she is fine around cats. Sugar was impounded and held at a high kill shelter due to a cruelty case. She was starved almost to death but has made a complete recovery. When her previous owners went to court, they were convicted! She is very well mannered and does NOT jump. She is a true joy to be around and just wants to be loved. Meet JuneBug She is about 1-3 years old. This poor kitty has a limb deformity that you can only appreciate in person. Her hind paws are large and have extra toes, but her fronts are very different. Both are shorter than normal and are different lengths. She really doesn't have nails so I would consider her front declawed! She walks on more than just the top of her paw with her one leg and the other just makes the ground. Her tail also appears to be broken in a few spots. Despite all this she gets around just fine, however we are listing her special needs due to her deformities/injuries. Molly is a very pretty female 4 month old Catahoula mix puppy. She is SPECIAL NEEDS being that she is blind in one eye and is now losing vision in her other eye. The Specialist that we took her to said that her other eye can be corrected with laser eye surgery. We are currently looking into the cost for that. If the adopter is willing to pay to have it done then we can waive the adoption fee. The Specialist also said that it's hereditary and that she is not in any pain. Gizmo is a very sweet and tiny teacup Chihuahua who weighs around 4 pounds. His age is estimated to be 4 years old. He was checked on 7/30/10 by the vet because they thought he possibly may have gotten hit by a car on his one side as you can see in the second photo. X-Ray showed that there was no internal injuries, so they are not sure what happened. Gizmo has been tested NEGATIVE for Heart Worms, is up to date on his shots, was treated for tape worms and given regular dewormer, and will be neutered prior to adoption or come with a neuter certificate. He is a cautious little guy so you have to approach him slowly because he doesn't know if you are going to hurt him or not. He is NOT a barker at all, he is very quiet. Gizmo cannot go to a home with small children because they are too hyper for him. He loves to snuggle and cuddle with you! He is potty trained and crate trained. He is such a good boy who you can tell has been through a lot just by looking at him. Geannie is a 2 year old female Pointer mix dog. She is shy when she first gets to know you. We believe that she was abused at some point because she does cower down sometimes. While she has been with our rescue group, her confidence has risen. She is becoming less afraid. Either way Geannie is VERY loving and is an extremely special girl. She did have fur loss due to stress and neglect, but it is growing back. The vet said not to worry about it because she is a healthy girl. Geannie is up to date on her shots, dewormed, given a Bordatella vaccination, and will either be spayed prior to adoption or come with a spay certiciate. She LOVES other dogs and gets along great with them as long as they are not aggressive towards her. She is wonderful with children and we think that she would be fine with cats. Lappy is a pretty quiet girl who is a little shy. She is a Rat Terrier mix who is apx. 4 years old. She LOVES to cuddle and sit on your lap so if you are looking for a lap dog, then she is the one for you. She is good with most dogs, but if they are hyper then she might growl a little. We are not sure how she would be with cats but are assuming that she would be okay. Of course we would make sure prior to her adoption. Lappy is friendly and really wants a home to call her own. She is good with children but we have not seen her around babies. She is up to date on her shots, tested NEGATIVE for Heart Worms, dewormed, and spayed. Goldie is a female Lab/Shepherd mix 6-7 month old puppy. She has very short hair and does not shed hardly at all. She came to us from a kill shelter in Georgia so that she could be saved from being euthanized. She is a little shy when she first meets you but is VERY sweet and LOVES other dogs!! She would really like to be in a household with a furry friend, possibly her BFF Cookie. Those two play together, sleep together, and love each other. They can be seperated but it would be great if they found a home together. Goldie is potty trained and crate trained. She is GREAT with children and should be fine with cats.
