Arrow is a very sweet and loving Boxer/Pit bull mix dog. She is around 2 years old and is up to date on her shots. She is going to the vet tomorrow (December 16th) to get spayed. She was surrendered with 7 of her pup's which all got adopted. Arrow came in completely emaciated so we could not put her up for adoption until now. She has gained weight and confidence that she will be well taken care of. Due to the fact that she was starved, she does have some doggie food aggression. Although she has ZERO food aggression towards people. We can give and take away anything from her! She is EXCELLENT with children and has been around many of them. She is good with MOST dogs big and small. She is the Alpha female and will not get along with any dogs who will try to test her or act aggressively towards her. Arrow is very gentle and affectionate girl who just CRAVES attention. She likes to be a lap dog and will sit on your lap any chance she can get. She cannot be around cats or small animals because she would chase them. Arrow is also 100% potty trained so you do not have to worry about any accidents around the house!
Auto is a male puppy that is around 4 months old. He is up to date on his shots, tested NEGATIVE for heartworms, and will come with a neuter certificate. He is a very sweet and loving boy who comes with 3 other siblings. He is EXCELLENT with children and with other dogs. We have not seen him around any kitty's so we do not know how he will act. Auto is friendly with everyone he meets and is looking for that special family to take him home.
BARRETT is a Corgi/Bassett mix. He is around 1 years old and weighs around 25-30 pounds. He would be best as an only dog or with a calm dog. He was attacked while in Georgia by another foster dog so he is a little skittish until he warms up to them. He would also do better around a female dog. He is up to date on his shots, tested NEGATIVE for heart worms, microchipped, and neutered. Barrett is also house trained and crate trained. He was not getting the attention that he deserves so he was brought here in hopes that we could find him a loving home.
This is Bear who is a unique mix of breeds. We believe him to be a Pekingese and German Shepherd mix. He is around 2-3 years old and is neutered and up to date on his shots. When we got Bear we found out that he was heart worm positive. The wonderful vet's at 5 Corners Animal Hospital treated him for a couple of days so now he is doing great. He is currently in a foster home and will need to rest for the next two weeks (12/9/09 until 12/23/09). After that he will be able to go to his new home. It is REQUIRED that he have monthly heart worm med's in order to stay healthy. We would love for him to have a new home and family before the Holiday's! Bear is EXCELLENT with children and with other dogs. He is good with kitty's as well. He is an amazingly sweet and affectionate boy who deserves a great home. He is also potty trained and does NOT mark at all.
Brandy came to a rescue suffering from lice and mange. She has made a remarkable recovery and can now be considered for adoption! Brandy is just about a year old now a bit shy at first, but will be attached to you in a few hours! You can win her over with just a few treats! She is GREAT with children and other dogs. She doesn't care much for cats, but has been doing okay with the ones in her foster home.
Brody is a 9 month old Shepherd mix puppy who was brought here from a kill shelter in Georgia. He is a very friendly and sweet boy who is a good listener. He is just looking for someone to play with them and give him the love that he deserves. He is up to date on his shots, has had Bordetella vaccination, tested NEGATIVE for heart worms, and will come with a neuter certificate. He would make a great family pet and is good with children. He is also good with other dogs but we are not sure about cats because we have not seen him around any.
Buddy is a 4 year old 13lb Chihuahua. This little guy's previous owner did not give him a lot of attention and kept him outside in a little cage without a dog house. He wasn't even fed regularly. He is okay with older kids but is not comfortable with young children. He was around 6 kids previously and they would do mean things to him like shoot fireworks at him and kick the outside of his cage. Buddy does not like to be picked up by people he does not know and will nip at them. He is NOT a barker and is a really sweet little guy. He just needs a quiet home with a lot of love and attention. Please consider opening up your heart to Buddy. He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He is good with other dogs and cats. Buddy has a small bladder so you will need to either take him out frequently or use pee pads in the house.

Cassie is a female 8 week old Border Collie mix puppy. A man found her at a gas station on the side of the road. Cassie and her 2 other siblings were inside of a box with the top open and the sides taped. He took them in on 11/20/09. Whoever had these pup's did not want them and just put them on the side of the road. Cassie needs to know the love of a good family who will care for her and show her lots of affection. Despite this happening, she is a sweet little girl. Her and her siblings are a little timid in the beginning, but they do love to run and play. This little pup along with 2 siblings, were dumped on someone's driveway in the Snow. Cyrus has a very unique look. He has one blue eye and one brown eye! He is around 10 weeks old. Meet Gracie. She is about 18 weeks old. She was brought to the shelter w/ a hole in her ear from a wound becoming infected. That has healed, but left her ear misshapen. She then developed the worst upper respiratory infection I ever saw. She has been in a foster home for 3 weeks and is already 95% better! She is putting on much needed weight, gaining strength and trust in us. She is finally out of quarantine and LOVES other cats/kittens!!!!!!!. She LOVES to be held and pet...loudest purr-er ever! She is still timid, as most kittens with a sad history like this, so she needs a lot of human attention. She still needs to finish getting her coat nice and shiny again. Oreo is a senior male cocker spaniel dog who was found wandering a golf course. For months, his owners could not be found so he was surrendered to us. He is around 10 years old and is excellent with kids, other dogs, and cats. He is special needs, being that he is blind. Oreo does not like people or other animals near his food while he is eating and he will growl a little. Even though he cannot see, he does excellent on a leash. He loves to go for walks and walk in the creek. He is an amazingly loving and sweet dog. His new owner MUST have a fenced in back yard. Porcha is an amazingly friendly and sweet 6 year old Lab and Pit Bull mix. When we temperment tested her, she did GREAT with dogs (both big & small), cats, and children. Stella is around a year old. She is a beautiful white shepherd mix who is amazingly sweet and affectionate. Stella is EXCELLENT with other dogs and kitty's. Her only down fall is that she is doggie food aggressive and will growl. This happens a lot to dogs that come from shelters. She was brought here from Georgia because noone was interested in meeting her. We do not know why because we have all fallen in love with her! She is NOT aggressive with her food towards people and she is GREAT with children. Stella is one of our favorites here and we feel like any family will be lucky to have her in their life. Sweet Pea is a sweet little Shiba Inu/Feist mix. She weighs exactly 18lbs! She has previously been in an abusive situation and will cower down when you approach her. She becomes VERY sweet once she realizes that you will not harm her. Sweet Pea will make a wonderful companion to someone who will take the time and patience that she needs to adjust to her new home. She is quiet and is NOT a barker. She will fit in best at a quiet home where she can lay on a soft pillow or blanket. We do not recommend that she goes to a home will small children. She is GREAT with other dogs and with cats. Sweet Pea is spayed and up to date on her shots.

Topper is a female boxer mix close to a year old. She is very sweet but has a lot of energy. She needs an owner who can either run with her or walk her daily. She does good with most dogs but DOES NOT like kitty's. She will also chase smaller animals like chickens or ducks. Topper thinks that she is the boss of the smaller animals which is why she should either be the only pet or be in a household with another dog who is submissive. Topper LOVES all people but especially men. She is up to date on her shots and house trained.
